OUR STORY

Bob Selig began his career in the car industry at the age of 15, working for his father, Bill Selig, who founded their family owned Ford dealership in 1970. After his father's passing, Bob and his business parters successfully ran the dealership for over 20 years until merging with the Mitchell Auto Group of Simsbury in 2013. At the dealership, Bob specialized in used car appraisals, utilizing the vast knowledge he obtained from selling vehicles at Southern Auto Auction for over 40 years. 

In his time at these auctions Bob identified a special need within the industry. Dealers and managers were losing an entire day in their dealerships while they were busy selling their inventory at auction. They were also losing out on the opportunity to purchase new stock in other lanes while they were on the block representing their vehicles. Other dealers weren't going to the auction at all and instead sold their inventory to wholesalers, losing out on thousands of dollars in potential profits.

With the help of the outstanding staff at Southern Auto Auction, Bob began his venture in representing vehicles for other dealers at auction in 2004. Since then, Selig Remarketing Services has proven itself year after year as being a go-to business for top of the line representation. As a Top Gun seller 16 years in a row, Bob is one of the only individuals to achieve this level of success.
